Background

I started in law — tech and media, San Francisco in the nineties — but the pull of building things was too strong. Two decades of operating followed: VP roles at Yahoo!, CMO at Demandforce through its acquisition by Intuit, COO at Logikcull. I was lucky enough to be coached by Bill Campbell during some of that time, and it changed how I think about leadership and teams permanently.

Now I run Greenhouse at Orrick Tech Studio, where I work with early-stage founders on the things that actually matter — team dynamics, decision-making under uncertainty, how to keep moving when you don't have answers. It's the best job I've ever had.

Outside of work: books, music, galleries, and wherever a trail leads.

Scaled the cloud-based eDiscovery platform from early stage to enterprise, building out go-to-market, operations, and the leadership team. One of the most rewarding operating experiences of my career.

Joined via the Demandforce acquisition. Led the business unit through integration into Intuit's SMB platform, navigating the complexities of a large-company environment while preserving startup momentum.

Led marketing at the SMB SaaS company from growth stage through its $423M acquisition by Intuit in 2012 — one of the largest SMB software acquisitions of its time.
